Nursery: Storage Dilemma!

I'm getting to the nitty gritty stage of nursery planning where it turns from cute to practical... :( the nursery is rather small and it has sloped walls on one side slicing it even smaller. I'll be putting baby clothes, towels and nappies in and on top of the dresser. But all the other stuff like books and toys I have no place for... I love the idea of those shelves where the books lean against the wall so little people can see them better. Like this:

or this:

But I'm just not sure if shelves are an option for us. Our walls are pathetic. That's the miserable truth of it all. They're paper thin and spew out all largish objects I hang up. However I have found some other ideas that might just trick the walls into thinking that there's nothing there.

These fabric book holders are pretty funky but still aren't quite as clean and crisp like my precious white shelves.

I'm also loving this basket idea but might look a bit too much...
Hmm...I suppose I could just grab a bookcase from Ikea but then my wall space is gone for other pretties. But I guess I still have a few more nights to think this one over.

  1. I think your nursery ideas are superb! They’re both functional and aesthetically pleasing. Anyway, you can store other items in a self storage unit for now, and just retrieve them when your baby grows up and you no longer need a nursery. And in that case, you can take the nursery items that your baby has outgrown and store them in the self storage unit, if you don’t want to give them up yet.
